I think I’m having way too much fun with this espresso machine. I am loving making fancy coffee drinks and sharing them with dear friends. I also had the pleasure of attending my friend’s birthday brunch on Saturday. My friend Mary prepared all sorts of elegant food and treats, I felt like I was at the Grand Hotel. Except it was a pajama brunch, which explains why there are only food pics and no people pics surrounding the brunch pictures. Aside from that, I got to enjoy the company of two of my sweet young friends. They seem to forget that I am old enough to be their mother. (Though random people in the community have pointed that out.) I am blessed to have a wide variety of friends to share my time and interests with. They keep me feeling like I am in my 20’s, well maybe 30’s…..

Presentation is everything. It’s amazing what you can pull off with short notice and few ingredients. No worries if your dishes don’t match. I prefer mix-and -match anyway. Pieces with sentimental value are even better.
